** Are they insured?
** Are their vehicles insured?
** Do they have Workman's Compensation insurance
** Are their subcontractor's insured?
** Do they have references?
** Did they invite you to look at previous projects?
** Are they willing to work within your budget?
** Is your budget realistic for the project you envision?
** Beware of low bidders; did they include everything?
** Have all your questions been asked and answered to your satisfaction?
** Do you have a good rapport with your contractor?
** Be comfortable with your selection
